Shown in a rendered room
Custom conference tables, drawn to the room.
I build conference and boardroom tables in my studio in Geneva, Illinois, west of Chicago. Delivery and installation are part of the commission.
Sized to the room and the people in it
A conference table is sized to the room: how many people sit at it, how much space they need behind their chairs, and where power has to come up through the top. I draw the table to those measurements. Then a SketchUp model shows the shape, proportions, clearances and details, along with AI-assisted visualizations to help you see the table in the finished room, before a board is cut.
Offices and boardrooms
I have built conference tables for offices, and I’m glad to take on boardrooms, hotels and restaurants. A carved wall piece for the wall behind the table can be drawn at the same time.
Delivered and installed
The project isn’t complete until the table is in the room and looks the way it is supposed to look.

Before you ask
- Can the table have a power grommet?
- Yes, like the walnut table on this page. Tell me where power needs to come up and I will draw it in.
- Can you work from our architect's or designer's drawings?
- Yes. Because I am the one building it, there may be joinery, wood movement, strength or installation questions to work through together. The aim is to preserve the design intent while applying the construction expertise necessary to make sure the final piece performs as well as it looks.
- How long does a commission take?
- 6 to 12 weeks from design approval. The joinery, the curing and the finishing set the pace, and there are parts of fine furniture making that simply cannot be rushed without affecting the result. Expedited timelines may be available for select projects based on production capacity.
- What does a commission cost?
- Most commissions fall in the $6,000 to $20,000 range, and some fall outside it. Tell me the size, the wood and the budget you have in mind, and I can usually give you a rough price on the first call.
