This page exists so anyone filling in a form on this site can see exactly what is collected and where it goes.

Who is responsible

I am Rob Showalter, and Robert Russell Designs is my business, in Geneva, Illinois. Reach me at rob@robertrusselldesigns.com or (630) 492-1417 with any question about this policy, to ask for a copy of what I hold about you, or to have it deleted.

What the forms collect

When you begin a commission or request a drawing, I collect the details you enter: your name, email address and phone number, the answers you choose about the piece (such as the seating count, room size, wood, shape, resin, timeline and budget range), your ZIP code if you give it, and anything you write in the notes.

Alongside those, the form records technical details about the visit: the page address you arrived on, the page that referred you, the campaign parameters in the link, and the advertising click identifiers your browser was carrying, which may include Google, Microsoft and Meta click IDs. Those are what let me tell which advertising produced an inquiry.

What I do with it

Two things. I contact you about your request, and I measure which advertising is working. I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Where it goes

Submissions are delivered to WhatConverts, the lead tracking system I use to record inquiries and to tell me one has arrived. A record is also written to storage at Cloudflare and expires automatically after 90 days, so that if delivery to WhatConverts fails, your inquiry can be recovered by hand instead of lost.

Measurement on this site

This site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta pixel and Microsoft Advertising tags; the Microsoft tag also loads Microsoft Clarity. It also runs PostHog, which records anonymous page views and how pages are used. These tools set cookies and record how the site was reached and how it was used. When an inquiry is accepted, a conversion event is sent so the advertising platforms can match it to the advertising that produced it.

Phone numbers on this site are provided by WhatConverts, a call tracking service, so a number you see may differ from my main line; every one of them rings through to me. Calls to these numbers are recorded and transcribed by WhatConverts so I can review inquiries and see which advertising produced them.

Spam protection

To limit abuse I apply a short-term submission limit per visitor. For that, your IP address is stored only as a one-way hash, which expires after one hour. A duplicate of the same request sent within ten minutes is recognised by a hash of its contents and not delivered twice.

How long things are kept

Inquiries stay in WhatConverts for as long as I need them to answer you and to understand which advertising worked. The Cloudflare record above expires after 90 days, the spam-protection hash after one hour, and the duplicate check after ten minutes.

Your choices

Ask me at any time for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing rob@robertrusselldesigns.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the measurement described above will stop working if you do.
